
Ingredients

- •1/2 cup light brown sugar(lt. br.)
- •2 tbsp corn syrup
- •1/2 cup cold water
- •1 1/2 tbsp butter
- •1/4 cup hot water(unit inferred from context)
- • vanilla(to taste)

Combine sugar, light brown sugar, corn syrup, and cold water. Cook to 240° (soft ball on Polder thermometer).
Polder refers to a brand of candy thermometer.

Remove from heat and add 1 1/2 tbsp butter, 1/4 cup hot water, and vanilla.
Careful when adding hot water as the sugar mixture will bubble vigorously.
